Congratulations to Angela Rogers and her latest new addition born February 9th. A stunning colt out of our beautiful Redwood Lodge Estonia +AU by Fairview Kubla Khan +AU. This boy is a half brother to Euralea Eleazar *Exp USA and JA Khudos also sold to the USA. Angela reports that he is exquiste and is already destined for the Nationals in 2009!

Euralea Excess (Euralea Light My Fire x Euralea Espania Bint Yanah +AU), a yearling gelding owned by Cindy Rowe, attended his first show on the 6th of January.

We are thrilled to report that Excess was awarded the title of Champion Gelding at the Hamilton All Breeds Show under Claire Simpson.

Congratulations to Cindy and Excess on a successful debut.

JACOB JCA +USA

Jacob JCA +USA has been leased in partnership with Jade Creek Arabians and the JEK Alliance. This charismatic colt is by US National Res Champion, Jake Jamaal JCA, a son of Jullyen El Jamaal and out of the gorgeous US Champion and Brazilian National Champion Mare, Star Van Ryad. Already shown successfully in the US and with a pedigree boasting a host of international halter and performance Champions we believe Jacob has a great deal to offer all breeders.

Redwood Lodge Estonia congratulates her son JA Khudos, owned by the La Plata/JA Khudos Group USA. JA Khudos took out the Junior Championship against a formidable group of NZ and imported colts and fillies under a three judge system at the 2007 Auckland Arabian Spectacular. Khudos is a half brother to Euralea Eleazar *Exp USA, the 2007 National Champion Colt.

Euralea and Jameel Arabians would like to announce and welcome Karamea Arabians into the Aria Elation *USA Alliance. Alison Steward is a very respected, experienced breeder who has consistently produced a host of Karamea Champions over a 30 year period. We are humbled that Alison has joined us in what promises to be a very exciting venture.

Congratulations to Donna Fox and Euralea Silver Estania who have been quietly clocking up the kms. Donna and Estania were awarded best conditioned and won their recent ride at Punawai on October 21st. Sarah Hamer and Euralea Silver Light were also at Punawai and were a commendable 4th in the 80km Open.

It was great to see Euralea Light My Fire ridden by Kirstie Gilchrist at Blueridge on the 30th of September. He qualified in the 40km Novice with a final heart rate of 30. Not bad for a serving stallion at his very first ride.

Congratulations to Cindy Rowe and JA Kourage Under Fire (x Euralea Fire N Desire) on taking out the Gelding Championship and being awarded Supreme Arabian Exhibit at the Waikato A&P Show on October 27th.  Then on the 11th of November Euralea Encore took out the Gelding Championship at the Clevedon A&P Show.  Another fantastic result for them. Well done!

Congratulations also to Sue Oliver with her yearling gelding by Euralea Light My Fire on taking out the Champion Gelding title at the 2007 NZ Royal Show.

We are very excited to announce that Euralea Spanish Light is coming home.

Spanish Light is now a 6 year old mare and the last filly bred at Euralea, having had a run of eleven colt foals since. She will be a valuable addition to the broodmare band being by the Yanah Ibn Estopa son, Euralea Light My Fire and out of the Yanah Ibn Estopa daughter, Euralea Espania Bint Yanah.

She is a highly credentialed show mare, her wins include Supreme Exhibit at the Auckland Royal Easter Show and winner of the Princess Alia Saddle of Honour, Supreme Exhibit at the Northland Classic as well as being a National Res Champion Mare. We are very excited about her breeding potential and plan to bred her to our latest import, Aria Elation this season.

Euralea Fire N Desire foaled 9 pm on the 30th of August. Another colt for Euralea. We are very pleased with him, he will be grey and is very elegant. His sire Lexington Tequila *AU is the current NZ National Champion Stallion.

Euralea Electric had a sale option on him and he has been sold at birth. Congratulations to Cindy Rowe.  Electric is Cindys fourth Yanah Ibn Estopa grandson!

ARIA ELATION *USA

2007 Scottsdale Champion Signature Yearling Colt

Elation is by Gazal Al Shaqab and out of the stunning Ellusion of Magic (Magic Dream x Errica).

Gazal (photo below) is an International and World Champion and more importantly an extraordinary sire.  Half siblings to Elation include Marwan Al Shaqab and the incomparable Pianissima.  Elations dam, Ellusion of Magic is a successful show horse having been named Scottsdale Res Champion Junior 2yo Filly as well as Champion at the Buckeye and Region 14.  Ellusions sire, Magic Dream is a successful show horse and a noted broodmare sire.  Elations female line goes via the unanimous halter and performance US National Champion Errica to Elkana.

JA Khudos

SOLD TO THE USA

Khudos is by the 2005 NZ National Champion Stallion Khouros (imp/exp Au) and out of our gorgeous 5 time National Title holder, Redwood Lodge Estonia. Khudos has been shown twice for Supreme Champion Arabian at the Hamilton All Breeds Show at 3 months of age and Top 5 Colt at the 2007 NZ Nationals at 5 months of age. Khudos will remain in NZ for the following show season to hopefully follow in his brothers hoof prints, Euralea Eleazar *Exp USA.

Euralea Eleazar *Exp USA (Also out of Redwood Lodge Estonia) is the 2006 National Res Champion Colt and the 2007 National Champion Colt.

At the 2007 Horse of the Year Show they were awarded:

Supreme Champion Purebred Arabian

They were also awarded High Point Gelding of the Year by the Auckland Arabian Horse Club.

The South Island Arabian Championships were held on the 3rd of Feburary. The judge was Allan Preston from Australia.

We were very pleased to win the South Island Champion Filly title with our latest addition, Cedarwood Lodge Bint Navinka. This was also her first appearance in NZ. Congratulations also to Shar Angell and her very elegant Euralea Light My Fire filly who won Res Champion Filly.

The highlight of the show for me was seeing the majestic Yanah Ibn Estopa daughter, Assisi Bint Mahabi win South Island Champion Mare at 18 years of age and also South Island Supreme Senior Arabian. Congratulations to her owners, Pauline and Tony Burgess. Photo Credit: Carmen Tuite

The Arabian Spectacular combined with the North Island Championships were held on the 10th of December. The judge was Deb Watson from Australia .

North Island Reserve Champion Gelding - JA Kourage Under Fire (x Euralea Fire N Desire)

Our beautiful Bluegrass Made in Heaven (imp AU) foaled 16 days early on the 2nd of September.

This precious baby is by Maraj El Dakar (imp USA).

We are thrilled to announce the purchase of the gorgeous yearling filly, Cedarwood Lodge Bint Navinka (Shaklas Fame N Fortune x  D'Amors Navinka Shaklan).

Vinni has already been shown for the following titles:

• Supreme Champion - Goulbum Valley Championships
• Champion Yearling Filly - Victorian Championships
• Junior Res Champion - Arabian Feature Show

Congratulations to La Plata Arabian Stud, California on the purchase of Euralea Eleazar. Eleazar, a double Om El Abadan bred colt is also the 2006 National Res Champion Colt. He will make his way to sunny California in the spring.

More congratulations to Cindy Rowe, firstly on the success of JA Kourage Under Fire (x Euralea Fire N Desire) on taking out the Arabian Championship at Kumeu on the weekend of the 12th of March. What a fantastic season they have had!!!  Cindy's big news is the puchase of Euralea Encore. Encore is the 2006 NZ National Champion Colt. Watch out for Encore & Cindy next season!

Congratulations to Anna & Peter Scott on the purchase of Euralea Emagine (Khouros* x Euralea Fire N Desire). This lovely chestnut filly captivated Anna and Peter at only a week old!  We wish Anna and Peter all the very best with Emagine.

The 2006 NZ National Arabian Title Show was held on the 4th of March in Christchurch. The halter judge was Mrs Lyn Livingston from Australia. We had a fantastic show and are absolutely thrilled with the results. We are especially delighted with taking out the double in the Colt section. Mrs Livingston commented that the colt section was the strongest of the show!
